Lightning Community Heroes Award, awarded to Frank D. Murphy 2018

The Tampa Bay Lightning honored Frank D. Murphy with the “Community Heroes Award” Thursday February 15, 2018 during their match against the Detroit Redwings (which the Lightning won! Go Bolts!). This epic game was in celebration of the Lightning’s 25 years in the National Hockey League and Mentoring with Purpose’s Advisory Board came out to support Frank and congratulate him on this special achievement.

Members of the Board were accompanied by Lightning Executives and staff as they gave an extensive tour of the clubs locker rooms, suites, and were escorted to center-ice to get a close-up of the Lightning player’s bench.  Frank was publicly congratulated in front of all the fans and featured a personal montage video celebrating his efforts in the community and within Mentoring with Purpose Charity (MWP).

Lastly, Frank and MWP were gifted a donation from the Lighting owner, Jeff Vinik and #9 – Tyler Johnson on behalf of the Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Heroes program.

We hope to see YOU at our next Mentoring With Purpose Charity Event!
